Sequins are synthetic nucleic acid spike-in controls that act as internal standards for sequencing workflows.

They are engineered to mimic natural genomic sequences and are designed to be added to your samples prior to library preparation.
By including Sequins, you can monitor assay performance, validate workflow accuracy, and benchmark sequencing sensitivity and specificity.

Each product is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) detailing expected allele frequencies and performance metrics.

Our current on-market products include:

• WGS Core Control Set – Designed for benchmarking and quality control in whole genome sequencing workflows.
• WGS Clinical Control Set v1.0 – A clinically-oriented control set aligned with ACMG81 and variant interpretation frameworks.
• Metagenomics Core Control Set – Enables absolute quantification and microbial community benchmarking in metagenomics workflows.

Sequins are added prior to library preparation, ensuring they are processed alongside your sample DNA or RNA.

After sequencing, reads are mapped to both your reference genome and the Sequin reference (FASTA/VCF) provided with each product.

This allows you to evaluate coverage, allele frequencies, and variant detection accuracy directly against the known Sequin design.

All Sequins products are supplied in a dried format, ensuring stability during shipping at ambient temperature.

Upon receipt, store immediately at –20 °C (–4 °F) as indicated on the label and CoA.
Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles or exposure to moisture.

Online orders through the Sequins store are currently available in selected regions.

• Dispatch days: Monday to Thursday (to help avoid weekend transit)
• Average delivery time: 3–4 business days from dispatch
• Shipping temperature: Ambient (unless otherwise stated)
• Delivery address: Products are shipped to the address provided at checkout

For deliveries outside supported regions or for distributor enquiries, please contact enquiries@sequins.bio.

Sequins does not accept returns or refunds except where a product does not perform according to its Certificate of Analysis (CoA).

Refund or replacement may be offered if data demonstrate that expected allele frequencies or performance metrics were not met under correct use.

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of product receipt and include:

• Product batch/lot number
• Copy of the CoA
• Experimental conditions and data

Approved refunds cover product cost only; shipping and handling are non-refundable.
